Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
We are determined that every child and young person is supported and challenged to achieve at Fitzalan High School.
If your child has an identified Additional Learning Need (ALN), they will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP). This will be reviewed at least annually.
If you are concerned that your child has ALN, please contact your child's Head of Year in the first instance. They will discuss your concern with the ALNCO. As a school, we will work with you and your child to make a decision using all the available information and plan a way forward.
We may identify that your child has an ALN. In this case, we will contact you to begin the decision making and planning process.
Please direct any general queries to your child's Head of Year in the first instance. However, please do not hesitate to contact the ALNCO on jre@fitzalan.cardiff.sch.uk as required.
