Year 12 took a trip to Techniquest to be part of a focus group for the Royal Society Christmas Lecture workshop this year. The theme was 'Time' and the lecture is being run by famous Physicist Jim Al-Khalili!

Jim was not present but did send us a message outlining his lecture which will cover perception of time, evolution of the measurement of time, time travel and what he hopes people will gain from watching in December.

The pupils were EXCELLENT and participated in all activities and demonstrations. We were praised highly by Techniquest staff AND the representatives from the Royal Institute.

Pupils shared how much they enjoyed the trip and being part of a focus group to shape a televised lecture by a famous scientist!

We look forward to seeing how Y12's feedback will shape the Christmas lecture for this year. Make sure to tune in to BBC4 at the end of December!
