On the 2nd October Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils celebrated National Poetry Day. This year's theme was 'Play'.

We read a poem by Inua Ellams called 'Summit of Flight' which was about his love of basketball and then pupils wrote their own poems on the topic of 'play' as part of our Fitzalan National Poetry Day competition.

We had some amazing entries and the winners were:

Year 9:Nusrat Ahmed                                     Runner up: Tvisha Chauhan
