Year 7 PwC Visit

14 Year 7 pupils attended a visit to the PwC on Tuesday 7th March as part of the New World New Skills School Series arranged by the company. The session was an in-person activity session.

It took place in the local PwC office, on the Kingsway Cardiff. The session aimed to give pupils an introduction to office life, and PwC as a firm. The pupils were greeted by volunteers from across the business to help guide them through the task. Across the day, pupils took part in engaging activities to help them understand the kind of work professionals at PwC might undertake. The pupils got experience in consultancy and budgeting; financial literacy and tech - all set within an engaging, fun and relevant context. Pupils had the opportunity to ask questions about professional work and the choices they made to get them to their positions today. The session focussed on the Skills Builder skills “Listening”, “Teamwork” and “Problem Solving” whilst incorporating many of the other skills in the toolkit.

We would like to thank Mrs Cummings, our Year 7 Pupil Achievement Leader for taking the pupils on an extremely enjoyable trip.

Feedback from PwC:

"Wanted to say they hugely enjoyed having a year 7 group at PwC on Tuesday! My colleagues and I were impressed by how well-rounded and articulate the pupils were on various topics. We had such a great time interacting with them. Hope the pupils and Mrs Cummings enjoyed their time with us too."
