Parents/ Carer of Year 7

It has been absolutely lovely to welcome your children into school today. They are currently going through our induction process and will shortly be making their way to their first lessons. This afternoon we will gather together as a whole school community for our first assembly of the academic year 25/26.  

Your child has been activated on our school systems today. They will receive letters to bring home including information on: 

• ParentPay (online cashless payments & dinner money administration for school)
• Classcharts

Your child has been able to access the canteen today. Going forward,  If pupils are NOT entitled to Free School Meals,  it is essential that you top up their ParentPay accounts.  They will not be able to buy food in the canteen if their account is in debt. 

REMINDERS: 

• There is not universal provision for free school meals in secondary schools.  If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, you can use this link to check the criteria and to apply: Free school meals (cardiff.gov.uk).
• You are invited to meet the Year 7 Head of Year and your child’s form tutor on Monday 15th September. More details on this to follow.
