Letter to Parents from Headteacher

Letter from Headteacher

Dear Parent/Guardian

Thank-you to all parents who are adhering to the public health guidelines when their child/children or a member of their family tests positive for Covid.  This is helping the school to stay open and enabling our pupils to carry on learning while reducing the spread of the virus amongst pupils, staff and the wider community.

Unfortunately, there are still cases where a pupil arrives in school when they should be self-isolating.  Please follow the guidance below:

  • Do not send your child to school if they display any of the Covid symptoms (new and persistent cough; high temperature; loss or change of sense of taste and/or smell)
  • Arrange a test and report the result to school
  • If anybody in your household is symptomatic then the entire household must self-isolate.  Brothers and sisters of the child with symptoms must stay away from school
  • The above applies for 14 days or until a negative test is returned.  If you are self-isolating due to quarantine or contact with a positive case then you must do so for the full 14 days even if you test negative.

If a pupil who should be isolating comes to school it escalates the risk for everyone.

Please follow the guidance in this letter.

Thank-you for your continued support in this matter.

Yours sincerely
