Staff and pupils at Fitzalan High School are once again delighted to be celebrating another outstanding set of A Level and AS results.  At A Level, 91% of pupils achieved 2 or more A*-C grades with 100% of pupils securing 2 or more A*-E grades.

Anas Aboukoura has now achieved 4 A*s in maths, physics, biology, chemistry with another A in further maths while Amin Parvareshnia, despite only learning to speak English 3 years ago, secured 4A*s in maths, further maths, persian and physics.    Anas will now study medicine at Imperial College, London. Yahgub Hassan will now go on to study mechatronic and robotic engineering at Sheffield University after securing an A in maths, A in physics and a B in chemistry.

The PE department were particularly proud of Emily Baldwin who gained an A* in PE, along with a further A and 2 Bs and will now start a sport psychology course at Loughborough University.

At AS a high number of pupils secured 3 or more A grades with George Beare notably achieving 4 As in maths, physics, psychology and film studies.

One pupil Dylan Kerai, despite receiving a diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier in the year, battled to be well enough to sit his exams, achieving an amazing computer science A, maths B and physics C.  Staff and pupils are extremely proud of the bravery and resilience he has shown throughout the year.

Assistant Headteacher Jo Kemp said that staff and pupils should be, “really proud of the results achieved, particularly in new courses and we would like to wish all of our Year 13 pupils every success with whatever direction their lives take them in next.”
