National Day of Reflection

At 12 noon on 23rd March, staff and pupils at Fitzalan High School observed one minute’s silence to remember those who have lost their lives as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A group of our senior students also placed daffodils at our Remembrance Tree (usually the focus for those killed in conflict).  It was also an opportunity for us to honour those who have worked tirelessly to look after us and keep the nation functioning during this difficult time.  This last year is one that we will remember for the fear, frustration, disruption and loss but it will also be remembered for the way that kindness and care has shone through, not least in our Fitzalan community.

There may still be some difficult times ahead but we can look forward with hope.
