In a special programme investigating who runs sport in Wales, ITV reporter Beth Fisher exclusively reveals the lack of diversity of those in decision making roles and how sport can be made accessible for everyone. (See above Link)

With the help of Fitzalan High School pupils' the impact of the lack of diversity is explored in conversation with professional rugby player Ashton Hewitt. Najibah Rashid, Melissa Fodil and Ayah Abduldiam highlight the need for role models and an equal playing field if all young people are going to have access to participating in sport at all levels.

The Fitzalan PE Department are incredibly proud of how articulate our pupils were in sharing their experiences and views. The PE department and our inspiring pupils are looking forward to working collaboratively with any National Governing Body organisation to ensure sport in inclusive for all.

Within health and wellbeing lessons, pupils focussed on raising awareness and creating anti-racism campaigns. Due to the success of the pupil-led campaigns, which involved poems, posters, original song lyrics and videos, 8W received a visit from Ashton Hewitt. Ashton, who has been vocal in leading an anti-racism movement, thanked pupils for their bravery in speaking out and praised their hard work
