Miss Millard and Mrs Sinfield took Fitzalan's year 11 students to see the highly regarded performance of Blood Brothers in Cardiff's New Theatre. The lively performance gave students the opportunity to further their plot knowledge and begin to establish a critical and perceptive point of view on the characters and the context which inspired them.

The theatre was filled with laughs at the comical friendship growing between the unknowing twins, shock and drawn breaths at the severity of the social calamity the twins faced nearer the end. Many students found that when seeing the play performed, it enabled them to build further empathy for the characters and establish wider reasoning as to why certain actions would have been inspired by social and historical contexts.
