Fitzalan Uniform Store

"It was a pleasure to meet parents at the Year 9 Information Evening" declared Marilyn Morgan and Sakina Jamal, the ladies behind the launch of our new Uniform Store project. "We engaged with thirteen parents, donated  uniform to eight families  and made five new friends, who said they would join us in our winter floral bouquet making session.  The evening was a huge success!"

We are aware that pupils quickly outgrow their school uniform and sometimes it cannot be saved for a younger brother or sister. We would like to collect any discarded uniform or PE kit, so that it can be offered to another child.  This will help our pupils in two ways:

1) It reinforces our school’s commitment to caring for the environment and minimising waste

2) It enables pre-owned clothing to be made available at no cost

This form of re-cycling will help us care for the planet and provide practical help for families.

Please could you send any uniform items you no longer need to the Pupil Office in Fitzalan High School, marked for the attention of Mrs A. Thomas. The uniform store will be available at future parent evenings or by specific request.

"We are aiming to have a 'uniform stall' at each Parents' Evening, if I can find enough volunteers to cover each occasion" said Marilyn.  If you think you could help us, please do get in touch by emailing Fitzalan Parent Hub School Contact ath@fitzalan.cardiff.sch.uk or phoning 02920 232850, or simply come and talk to us at the next Parent's Evening.

We would love to hear if you have any project ideas for us.  Thanks in advance for your help.
