Information for Parents
This page is dedicated to the parents of Year 6 pupils who will be joining us in Year 7 in September 2021. We know that this current situation is not ideal but we want to reassure you that we will do all in our power to ensure that the transition for all your family into our school community at Fitzalan is as easy as possible.
We see transition from Year 6 to Year 7 as just one of the many transitions that children will make in their lifetime and we aim to ensure that all pupils are prepared for these life experiences, not just this one. We know that whilst this is a big step, all children have already made that first step into starting school and many will already be familiar with life at Fitzalan. It is important that we maximise what we know in order to minimise any worries we may be having. However, we also have many systems in place to respond to individual needs of all children in order to ensure that everyone is as happy and comfortable as they can be with school life.
Please watch the video below to achieve an idea of what transition means to us at Fitzalan.
