Barnados Research Project

Barnardo’s are the UK's largest children's charity. We help transform the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK.

We listen to them. We believe in them – no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.

Barnardo’s Better Futures Service are currently undertaking research, across various regions of the UK, to help identify the feelings and needs of young people. Although we predominantly work with those at risk of child sexual exploitation, we also need to know the thoughts and feelings of young people who are not known to the service. We are asking for permission to give questionnaires to pupils aged between 13 and 16.

Although no individual children or schools will be named in the research project itself, the outcomes from these questionnaires will be used at Fitzalan School to help make sure the wellbeing provision is the best that it can be.

Pupils in years 9, 10, and 11 will be bringing home consent forms for parents or guardians to sign. There will be more information with those forms. We thank you in advance for your support with this.
