Foodbank Collection

In the weeks leading up to the Christmas holidays, the Charity Committee decided that they would like to organise a collection of food items for the Cardiff Foodbank.  We had an amazing response, with both pupils and staff from across the school donating tinned and packaged produce.  Year 7 in particular, encouraged by Head of Year Mrs Jones, donated a huge amount of food items.  All the donations were taken to the Cardiff Foodbank where they were weighed and we were told that we had contributed 105.6kg of food.  As always, it was good to see the generosity of Fitzalan pupils and staff responding to the needs of others in our city. I am sure that the food donated will make a difference to people facing difficulties this winter.  Well done and thank you to everyone who donated food, helped with the collection and delivered the items to the foodbank.
