During the past month the Duke of Edinburgh groups have been out trekking, navigating, cooking and camping in order to complete the expedition section of their awards. The expeditions have taken place in the Brecon Beacons, Monmouthshire and next week, the Gower. The Bronze group successfully completed their 2 day/ 1 night practice expedition to the level required to pass and the Silver group now have finished their awards with flying colours after demonstrating the skills necessary during their 3 day/ 2 nights' expedition. Next year Fitzalan will see its first ever Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award group!
