Skiing Trip Austria 2018

During the Easter holidays Mr Rea, Mrs Greenaway and Mr Jones took 31 pupils to Mallnitz in Austria on an unforgettable and amazing ski trip. The group consisted of pupils from years 8, 9, 11 and the sixth form and all were a credit to Fitzalan in the way they behaved and conducted themselves during the whole trip.

We skied 2 days on the Ankogel glacier and 4 days at the Mollater glacier, which at the very top is a mammoth 3122m high!! Pupils were placed in groups on the slopes relevant to their skiing experience and ability and all had access to fantastic ski instructors who ensured every pupil made superb progress over the 6 days of skiing. As a result the pupils were able to access various blue, red and even black ski runs over the course of the trip!!

During the trip the pupils also took part in other activities such as bowling and swimming and they also attended a pizza night at the local pizzeria!! All pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The PE staff are already planning the next ski trip for 2019 and we will be going into assemblies in the coming weeks with all the relevant information.
