Twinning Toilets - Non-Uniform Day

As we look forward to our move to the new school buildings, the Charity Committee have been thinking about the facilities that perhaps we take for granted but that make our lives better, healthier and safer.

With this in mind, on Friday 17th February we held a non-uniform day to raise money for the charity ‘Toilet Twinning’.  We are planning to ‘twin’ toilets in the new school with toilets in the developing world and the money donated is used to provide better sanitation where it currently doesn’t exist.

Pupils were encouraged to wear an item of blue clothing to represent water and good sanitation.  In total we raised £865 which should allow us to twin 14 toilets in the new school.

The Charity Committee will have the opportunity to decide the country in which we will twin our toilets.  Thank you to everyone for your generosity.  We will be doing some more toilet twinning fundraising over the next few months.
