Scholar and musician Anhad Arora presented the second of three ‘Masterclass’ events before the half term break. Discussing themes from his ongoing AHRC-funded DPhil in Musicology at the University of Oxford.

Anhad presented talks to both Year 12 English and Year 10 Music classes, on the topics of Orientalism, cultural appropriation, and representation.

Many thanks to Miss H Ahmed and Miss C Davies for helping to organise the talks and to Ms J Meany and Mrs M Davies for assisting and recording the events.

Anhad was invigorated by his time at Fitzalan and is grateful to the students involved for engaging so actively with the subject matter.
